Information + Technology + Society = ?
We are a little behind in the syllabus. Reading 1 and 2 should cover weeks of Sept 28 and Oct 5 respectively. Reading 3 is due the next lecture and will be discussed in tutorials following the Oct. 19 lecture (would have been Oct 12 lecture except for reading week).
General:
COMN 2312 is a course which inquires into the relationship of Information, Technology and Society. It is especially interested in the relationship of these to critical practices and to the study of culture, media and communications as they impact each other and society.
As we missed a week- we will be merging two lectures and this week's readings will catch us up.
The reading will be due for the Sept 28 lecture and its affiliated opening tutorials week (which is Sept 27-Oct 3). Please skim the articles; In depth reading not required. Spend no more than two or three hours on this assignment
Please also view the video clip.
